Zografov & Son is a family company for luxury gifts that embodies the spirit of tradition and innovation. They continuously strive to recreate elegance and refine details, to deliver the item of their clients’ dreams.
After the creation of their first collection of packaging in cream textured paper, the necessity arose to also create a collection in black — meeting different needs.
THE CHALLENGE
A minimalist alternative
Succeeding the elevated Collection Mist, the Classic Black & Gold collection suggested a cleaner, more formal design. Black packaging is the preferred choice for gifts for men or representative events with a more austere and refined atmosphere.
While seeking diversity, our client Zografov was also looking for a more rational solution with regard to paper consumption and simple interior.
The production runs were medium in numbers but diverse in sizes, suiting the production flexibility typical for nPack.

THE CREATION
Emphasizing clean lines
Since our client implied a different approach in the styling of this collection, we took the chance to offer our basic packaging designs. Choosing smooth, stock black paper was the first step.
Time-proven production techniques were key to impeccable quality, punctuating the simplistic designs.

PERSONALISED BLACK GIFT BOX
The box style underwent significant revision. Now opting for the book-box construction, we achieved not only more formal, but also a more cost-effective solution for each of the box sizes.
Each box is placed in a paper sleeve to protect it from scratches and damage, so it meets the high standards of quality and aesthetics until the very moment of unboxing.
PRE-DEFINED CAPACITY ENVELOPE DESIGN
Focussed on using fewer materials, we replaced all the custom interior elements of the Mist collection with a capacity envelope. This envelope is one of nPack’s signature stationery designs, which we offer in several standard sizes.
LUXURY PAPER BAG WITH GOLD SATIN HANDLES
As an ever-modern model, we kept the paper bag with glued ribbon handles. The bag sizes are suited to fit the personalised black gift boxes.
