THE CHALLENGE

Taking part in the release

The brand launched in 2021 with a series of promotional events that set the stage for its luxurious offerings. Ahead of the launch, we collaborated with KODARI to craft a sophisticated luxury box design that embodied the exclusivity of their products.

A defining feature of the collection was the elegant gold rim, a signature element inspired by the client’s vision.

Filippa Swartling, the manager and creator behind the brand, entrusted nPack to help in the creation and further production of a collection of three distinct box styles for their silk pieces: neckties, scarves, and handkerchiefs.

THE CREATION

Examples of gift packaging at its finest

KODARI reached out to us based on a recommendation from another partner of ours, who also specialise in silk products. For this exciting new project, the client selected their preferred packaging style from our ready-designed options: the neck box, the lid-and-base box, and the 4-panel magnetic closure box.

The three box styles chosen for the products include consistent branding in gold foil. Wrapping papers were carefully selected and validated through printed pre‑production samples.

Evaluation of features and details

During a pre-production sampling phase, KODARI explored various paper options, comparing Colorplan textured paper with Koehler smooth paper and selecting from an array of gold shades within the Curious Metallics collection.

Extensive foil-blocked area

The gold rim is more than just a shiny accent—it is a bold statement of luxury and grandeur. Even the largest box in the collection is elegantly framed in gold, flawlessly executed by our skilled professionals.

At the heart of each luxury box design, the KODARI logo is perfectly positioned, centred between the gleaming gold edges.

SOFT WHITE WITH METALLIC GOLD ACCENT

Kodari asked us for a soft finish white paper and a metallic paper to match the gold foil. Our choices were Curious Collection Metallics and Munken Design Range premium paper series that make an extraordinary set.

The refined design of the neck box, featuring a revealed golden shoulder, captivates with its striking contrast between cream-white and gold, exuding sophistication and timeless charm. Representing the most robust of all box styles, this square box is measured to elegantly house a folded silk scarf.

Printed samples provided the client with an initial glimpse of nPack’s craftsmanship, assuring them that their packaging would be as exquisite as the silk item it would hold.

DISTINCTIVE TEXTURE AND EXCLUSIVE APPEARANCE

The Morocco-embossed Colorplan paper selected for the black boxes was chosen for its remarkable texture and premium, refined appearance.

LID & BASE BOX: This classic black luxury box design was used for the promotional box for limited edition handkerchiefs. It is not only beautiful and classy for the textured, deep black paper and the contrasting, timeless gold. But also, this product style allows the use of organic, recyclable materials.

4-PANEL COVER BOX WITH MAGNETIC CLOSURE: These exclusive, elegant boxes feature a shape and size that are specifically calculated to fit a necktie. This luxury box design is an example of foil-blocking mastery for the extra large expanse of surface that the finish encloses.
