THE CHALLENGE
Gradient of luxury appeal
With an extensive range of gift voucher ideas and options, Gifto.bg makes it easy to find the perfect gift by offering luxurious and exciting experiences, or pampering treats that engage the senses. Visitors to their website can purchase vouchers, complete with matching packaging for the gift certificates.
Designing the Gifto packaging collection started with a personal meeting. Our client presented the idea that included various packaging items and styles, which could be used individually or combined. Gifto entrusted us with the design and production of the collection of items: the voucher, a self-locking envelope, a fun premium box, a luxury box, a basic gift bag, and a luxury gift bag with a hangtag. This collection not only features delightful colours and finishes but also offers packaging designs that vary in levels of luxury.

THE CREATION
Versatile packaging for any need
In the centre of these luxury gift card packaging items is the vibrant red voucher in one size. Inspired by the concept of a universal gift voucher box size and interior, we explored various materials, box and bag styles, and artistic design ideas. To do this, we offered for assessment different samples from our previous experience.
To create an impression of luxury gradation, we used the distinct features that various materials offer, depending on their thickness and weight. We started with a folding board for the envelope and paper bag, then increased the thickness for the drawer box. Finally, we reached 2 mm for the hard cover of the book box, achieving the desired distinction and top level for the most luxury gift voucher packaging. The gift bags, too, were designed with different appearance. The creation of the high-grade bag was focused on the specially designed gift tag and its attachment to the bag.
Finding inspiration in ready designs
Our drawer box with a frame tray, already produced for silk products, was a strong initial point for the Fun box. We based the Luxury box on the same tray by adding a solid board cover and magnets.
Creating the universal box inlay
nPack’s contribution to this project included the development of the platform inlay with slots for the voucher. This platform, along with the frame tray, is utilised in both the Fun box and Luxury box.
Design validation through plain samples
In the initial stage of prototyping, the customer had the opportunity to evaluate the tailored platform, the custom envelope tuck-lock, as well as the appearance and size of the boxes. We presented various options for handle length and attachment of the tag to the bag.
LUXURY VOUCHER BOX
The top-level voucher box design is the most luxurious version of gift voucher packaging and is represented by the exclusive hardcover book style box with a frame tray. Stylishly designed in grey outside and white inside, it showcases the company logo foil blocked in holographic silver and surrounded by a UV varnished pattern. On the platform inside, two opposite slots secure the voucher to its position. The box is closed with hidden magnets which add to the luxurious feel.
FUN VOUCHER BOX
The middle-level voucher packaging is the paperboard drawer box. During the project brief stage, we received its graphic design from Gifto in 3 vibrant colours. Inspired by the idea of fun and variety and considering that this box would be the most ordered, we offered this “lightweight” printed box style. Avoiding high-priced production technologies we kept the box design accessible and at the same time eye-catching.
ENVELOPE
The most economical level voucher packaging is for those who want to showcase special attention in a more discreet fashion. Designed by nPack, the gift voucher envelope is a sleek grey bijou adorned with a subtle, shiny pattern. Its custom shape and size ensure a perfect fit for the folded voucher, like a glove. The self-locking flap neatly slides into a slot at the back, allowing the envelope to be opened and closed repeatedly without damaging the paper.
PAPER BAGS
An additional element to the gifting experience is the small luxury paper bag, supplied in two variants, both fitting the gift voucher box perfectly. One is a basic, non pretentious rope handle bag. The second bag variant is adorned with a hang tag and decorated with a UV- varnished pattern. The hang tag is white and unlaminated on the back side providing space for a personal message.
