THE BIRTH OF A MASTERPIECE: the story behind the exclusive paper bag packaging design with an innovative flap closure created by nPack
Global Art Production design and produce premium home furnishings, from luxury wallcoverings and fabrics to unique furniture pieces and home accessories, creating a sophisticated elegance in home décor since 2016.
The joint journey of our two companies began in 2021 when Global Art Production’s management approached nPack with a request to produce a more special paper bag.
THE CHALLENGE

MindTheGap started its journey as the main brand of Global Art Production company. Today, the brand established in Transylvania, offers a wide range of premium home furnishings including wallcoverings, fabrics, furniture, lighting, wall art and accessories.
To celebrate the legacy of Woodstock ’69 echoing through the decades, Mindthegap chose the PEACE AND MUSIC Wallpaper artwork as the printed motif on their Woodstock lifestyle collection event bag.
We were entrusted with refining the bag design and producing a limited run of these picturesque paper purses. Our goal was to make them truly special, achieving perfection despite a tight timeline.

THE CREATION
Redefining the flap closure
When our client introduced the paper bag project, they shared inspirational photos of a design featuring a standard flap closure. Building upon this concept, we reimagined the flap with a custom-engineered structural design, incorporating a velcro fastening dot pair.
Our contribution transformed the bag into something far more robust, luxurious, and reusable—capable of withstanding countless open-and-close cycles without compromising functionality or aesthetic appeal. By enhancing durability and elevating the style, we created a paper bag packaging design that is both practical and high-end, an outstanding example of reusable packaging.
Flawless artwork display
One standout aspect of this project is the seamless integration of the printed artwork on the flap with the artwork on the front of the paper bag’s body. A portion of the same design is printed on the flap, creating a continuous visual flow. Every detail was meticulously calculated and handcrafted, ensuring that each bag displays the same uninterrupted artwork—whether the flap is opened or closed.
Unmatched flap durability
Thoughtfully integrated paperboard elements reinforce the structure of the bag, providing dependable strength where it matters most. Each component is precisely measured and assembled to enhance flap strength and maintain overall integrity through repeated use.

NOTECARDS
Together with the beautiful paper bag packaging design, this project included printed cards. We combined the card print with the back piece of the bag, thus reducing cost and carbon footprint.
